I am using a plugin for social sharing - when I added it the font awesome fonts don't work any more. I opened a support ticket with them and here is the response:

Yes, your template is supporting Font Awesome 4.7.0 when our extensions the latest 5. I can suggest you update template/modules where icons are missing.

Not very helpful. I understand what they are saying but what is the best solution to use this plugin along with the particles that come bundled with the template to have both coexist.
