I have a question re the Google Maps particle and about Google API in general. I have seen other blog posts about the API. Like many over web designers I am not happy that Google is requiring an API and your Credit Card details. Up to now I have always created the API's on my own account but with costs changing I will need to get customers to set up their own API's so they can avail of the free monthly credit, but most don't have a clue so its proving difficult.

I have been looking at the cost on this link: https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/pricing/sheet/.

My main question now is if I use the Google Map particle and register for an API am I using Static Maps, Embed maps, dynamic maps??? - can you please explain.

I also know when I register for an API I can choose to tick Maps, Routes and Places - should I only choose maps?

If anyone has some insight on this I would appreciate it.
