Hi Ivo, as you probably know, from 11th June on Google will ask a credit card to all the administrators of Map API keys, even if they still keep on offering a free monthly quota. I totally disagree with this behaviour, especially now, considering that GDPR about privacy will be compulsory for each European website starting from 25th May.
I tried a quick search in JED and found a module using OpenMaps, which doesn't require an API key. The module works, but I've found some problems mainly in using multiple markers (I'm still struggling on a map with 16 of them!!
) and the documentation/support for it is poor.
I wonder if it's possible adding an option in Google Maps particle to choose Open Maps instead. I'm sure that many people here in the forum will be happy to let Google stew in its juice and switch to something REALLY free
