i have a retina display. for the first (big) image within the top news paricle i go for a 1000 x 1000 pixels, still the image does look unsharp for some reason. Can you help me out here?

correction: this one i have solved in photoshop by just taking 200% of pixels. Still the css gives me 450 px in height. so when i design 900 pixels in height, the whole image still seems cut off?
