Can I change the path for images in gantry 5. I want that all my images are in images folder if it is possible.

I know that gantry stock the images in templates/custom/images
So I suppose that an update does not alter this folder. If this change in the path for images is correct without risk, I want to change it. Where can I do that ? (if it is correct to do that)
