I was wondering, at https://www.midkerrycabs.ie/book-now there is a really nice booking module, which is interactive.
Do you have a suggestion for me, how to build such a module, or where to buy it? The vendor of the solar screens I built the above website for, would like to have a module where his clients can provide some input, that the tool uses to calculate a price. I am trying to do this with Sql, but for me there is still a long way to go

Regarding Lynda's Cabs site - it seems to be the Taxi Booking component by Kanev.com.
Regarding the tool you are looking for - I cannot think of such thing at the moment. It will be best if you do some deep research on Google or post this as a question in the official Joomla forum

A really cool and very popular Forms extension is ChronoForms but I'm not sure if it offers the functionality you are looking for.

Yes this is Taxi Booking as Ivo pointed out but I dont know if it would suit your business. I have been using Breezing Forms for some time and it can allow for some calculations, there was an example of Breezing forms in Outdoor Canopies website. It can do a lot more than I have done here and they guys at Crosstec are very helpful and could help you with custom work if you wished.

I am still working on a revamped website for a client using Sanctum template having been inspired by your website. The client likes the new site so much he has delayed things while he gets new photos taken so will post up link when complete.

Thanks for the suggestion of Breezing Forms, I'm going to take a closer look at their website and product.
And I'm looking forward to your website with Sanctum!

A year or so ago you (Ivo) recommended Chronoforms and by that time I made a simple form with it, I like it.
Calculations should be done with js as far as I can see, but this is a nice challenge for me... once understanding this, I can apply it in many other cases so I think it's worth the time spent on learning this.

JS is quite a challenge for me also but Breezing Forms have many example scripts and if you have membership you can ask in the forums and they will write other scripts for you (within reason). Here is a link to a sample script on their website for some calculations. Scripts for calculating checkbox sums

I have not used Chronoforms but I have used many others and I have found Breezing forms quite good but what impresses me the most is the support.

Regarding JS - well, it's been and still is a challenge for all of us!
But you can look at learning jQuery which is much easier and I would say, much more powerful.
A great place to start is the jQuery course on Codecademy

P.S. I've also heard only good things about Breezing Form. Haven't used it though.
