Joomla 4 and JQuery

Hi All

I have yet to convert any of my websites from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4 as so many components are yet not available. However, I have a new website that is pretty small and I thought I would start with Joomla 4. I was hoping to use the Beauty Template.

I know I need to integrate a Booking System into the website (ResDiary) and I have been looking at one of ResDiary's videos and it refers to them using jQuery 2.2.2. I have done a quick search online and it seems Joomla 4 uses JQuery 3.

Can anyone tell me if that is correct? Would I run into problems and am I better to stick with Joomla 3? I am eager to start to use Joomla 4 as I know I will have to eventually convert all my websites over, however it is so easy to stick to what you know.

Any comments or advice on Joomla 4 would be appreciated.

thanks
Lynda

    Hi Lynda,

It is a small project, I would recommend to start with Joomla 4.
Joomla 4 is really good, it is a next generation CMS, and at the same time the workflow and the interface are quite similar to what we are all used to in Joomla 3.
So, do not worry, you will get used for an hour :)

I also do not think that the different jQuery version will be an issue.

In short, give Joomla 4 a try, everything should be fine and you will get familiar with it.
