Something messes up the FontAwesome icons.
It might be caused by different things, but it is not a template-related issue.
It might be caused by a 3rd party extension that you have installed. It might be caused by a browser extension/plugin or browser cache and cookies (try with different browser).
It might be caused by your ISP (Internet provider). Try on another computer at different location with different ISP.

Agree with the awesomme font.

It's strange : on the same computer same browser i go on my production site on joomla 3, all is ok.

I try other browser, same problem.

It's fresh install with your quickstart package, i do nothing on the site.

Any idea ??

I understand your concern, but it really isn't a template related issue.
I am not able to reproduce such an issue and no other user has ever reported an issue with the icons in the backend.

Anyway, even though it is not a template related issue, please send me your site details by using the Site Details tab in your next comment and I will have a look.

ok thanks, strange, i haeve 7 site and no problem at all. i find the issue, it's after update to joomla 5.

just make a new try : install quickstart >>> all is ok.

Update to joomla 4.4.3 >>> all is ok
Update to jommla 5 >>> problem is here

Alright, yes, it is a known issue with the Gantry 5 framework and Joomla 5.
You can read more about it here.
It will be fixed in the next Gantry 5 release.
