System Outlines

Ciao Ivo,

why in the Error Page (System Outlines) doesn't correctly inherit base outline?
I've setting error page layout in Inherit Base Outline "Section Attributes" and "Particles within Section" but It doesn't work.

This happened to me enough times, with other template .
How can I fix this?

Thank you

    Hi Claudio,

    Everything works just fine.
Here, have a look at this video that I recorded for you (watch it in Fullscreen and FullHD for better quality). It shows everything in details.

Regarding the Language Switcher on your Error page - it is a Joomla extension (not Gantry 5 particle), therefore Joomla does not load its assets on the Error page. For more details, please read this discussion carefully.

    Ciao Ivo,

So you're telling me that doesn't load JQuery in error pages and i modules (particle) must be in all page setting. indeed my footer (selected Pages) is hidden,
Isn't on page. In my case (multilanguage), example: Delight menu with tab, they are hidden. Maybe I need of two error page?

    Thank you

Sorry Claudio, I do not understand anything from your last comment.
Basically, the Error page must be kept as simple as possible.
Switch to the default Joomla 3 template (Protostar) and see how the Error page looks like - there nothing, not even a Menu.
This is a limitation in Joomla. This is simply how it works.

    Ciao Ivo, is simple

    In error page:

    - It doesn't load JQuery
    - to work, modules (particle) must be in all page setting. In my case it's like this:

    copyright - all pages
    footer - seleceted pages

Anyway, I get what you're saying.

Sorry Claudio, I still do not understand what you are saying.

Anyway, in the earlier Gantry 5 versions, jQuery couldn't be loaded on the Error page.
But now it can. And it is loaded on your Error page. Have a look at this video that I recorded for you, it shows what I mean.

The problem with Error page is the following - all Joomla extensions have their own assets (CSS and JS).
Those assets are loaded on all pages where the particular extension is being published.
But those assets cannot be loaded on the Error page. The Joomla extensions cannot load their CSS and JS on the Error page. This is simply how Joomla works.
Even if you have published an extension on "All Pages", it cannot load its assets on the Error page (even though it is shown on the Error page).

    Hi Ivo,

a update. I've clear the error page layout and I using the particles inside layout.
In this way I can customize the error page using the particles. It is now acceptable. ;)

    Thank You
