I am trying to remove a menu item from the menu Editor by dragging to the top where the Delete Option would normally popup. The option never appears and I can only assume there must be some conflict from an extension recently installed, however I've uninstalled all recent extensions and still cannot get the delete option to appear. See attached screenshot for the item I am trying to remove.

There is also a notification that there is an upgrade for Gantry 5.3.2 and when I attempt to "Update", nothing happens. Not sure if this is related.
Thanks for your assistance.

    Hi David,

please note that if the menu item is not a particle or module you can't delete it by dragging it to the top. You can delete this way particles or modules that you have in the menu. Now you can either delete this menu item from Joomla admin > Menus > Main Menu > delete the menu item, or simply disable it from the G5 Menu Manager.

About your other question - it might be a broken link to the latest release of Gantry. You can simply install it from Joomla backend - please find it attached.

    Hi David,

Basically, Jordan said everything that you need to know, but I'd like to add few more things.

Regarding the Menu Editor - it does not replace the CMS functionality. It means that you cannot delete menu items created by the CMS (Joomla).
Please have a look at the Menu Editor section in the official Gantry documentation. There are few very important statements:

The Menu Editor panel in the Gantry Admin is where you can configure and refine menus used on the front end of the site. This does not totally replace the Menu Manager provided by the platform, but gives you the ability to quickly and easily add elements, such as in-line particles, to make a better experience for your users.

The Menu Editor administrative panel takes what your CMS' built-in Menu Manager has and enables you to override it. Changes you make in this panel do not in any way affect the way the CMS handles Menu items.

These menus are sourced from your CMS' Menu Manager. If you want to create a new menu, you will need to do so using the Menu Manager for your particular CMS.

In cases where the Menu Item Type is supplied by the CMS, this may not be editable via the Menu Editor as it would conflict with the CMS' settings.

Regarding your other question/issue - I cannot reproduce it on my end.
Anyway, you can always download the latest version of the Gantry 5 framework from their official website. Then just install it from the Extension Manager as you would do with any other Joomla extension. Here, have a look at the Installation section in the official Gantry 5 documentation.

Let me know if you have any questions or if you need anything else ;)
